A Topeka remodeler that draws the room before it builds it.
PDQ Construction is a locally owned, full-service remodeling contractor serving the Topeka, Kansas community and the surrounding area. We were established in 2003, and we are one of two NAHB Master Remodelers in Kansas. Our own in-house crews, our dedicated masonry team and our in-house interior designer take a project from the first idea to the last walk-through.

Owner and President Mike Pressgrove was named the NAHB National Remodeler of the Year for 2024. The award was presented at the BALA awards, the Best in American Living Awards, during the 2025 International Builders' Show in Las Vegas. He brings more than 40 years of hands-on and leadership experience to every PDQ project.

Design, estimate, select
We shape the project alongside our in-house interior designer. Payton can create 3D renderings and detailed floor plan layouts so you can see the new space clearly. Once the design and layout are final, our estimators prepare a comprehensive estimate, and then you are taken through the selection process so every detail meets your vision.

We schedule and build
We get your project on the calendar. Once it begins, you can expect a high-quality renovation completed by the PDQ team and our own skilled craftsmen.

We walk it together
When the work is done we do a final walk-through to make sure every detail meets your expectations. The job is backed by our satisfaction guarantee.

Design studio
You see the room in 3D before a wall opens.
Our in-house interior designer, Payton Summers, uses SoftPlan to build floor plans and realistic 3D renderings from your actual space, the layout you are considering and your goals for the project. The process begins when Payton and one of our estimators visit your home to take measurements and talk through what you want, what you need and how you picture the finished room.
A drawing is the cheapest place to change your mind. Moving an island on screen costs nothing; moving it after the cabinets are set does. Payton holds a bachelor's degree in interior design and is one of three Certified Aging-in-Place Specialists on our staff, so the plan accounts for how the room will be lived in, not only how it will photograph.
